View Full Version : I'm all Soggy
I just have done my first ride in the rain, and I'm now extremely soggy and look like a drowned rat.
I think I need some waterproofs ::) :-[
I got a new helmet yesterday, matches my jacket ;D

Not my first time in the rain, by a long way, but I'm pretty soggy myself.
I thought I could make it in before it started, but once again, the weather in Swindon was misleading.
I got up this morning and it was just drizzling, by the time I was ready to get out the door it was pissing it down :( GRRR!
I have another Vemar helmet, which I've found it so much better than my other Vemar!
I just need trousers really, my top half was not too bad.

How would u rate the vemar then? Its a newish helmet on the market isnt it?
I'm guess it must be a new one, but I can't use the website as it's not working at the moment.
My old Vemar was good, was a flipfronted one, Comfy but too heavy.
New one - hardly any ventilation - but still keeps my head cool - light and extremely comfy.

Oh oh oh, and I got told my bike was really nice by some random lady earlier :D ;D
I like that rain effect, looks very realistic.

hey i ride in any crap going, i've got two kits for crying out loud, one waterproof set and some leathers, i'd be there if i didn't think everyone else would ditch at the last minute! who can say they've ridden in a thunderstorm snow or hail, i can!! i'm hardcore 8-) but the prospect of 5 hours pay over a 2hour soggy bike meet which would u choose??
I didnt mind too much...
but I now don't have any dry trousers.
some people look like a rat anyway! ;)

Sharon, if you were going, I would chose to ride on sheer ice just to get there. ;)

I can too.
Hail is just painful but usually passes quickly. Thunderstorms are great until it really lashes down, then you just get drenched within 2 seconds.
Snow is just crazy and not something I do by choice.
