Nice one
Is that because you selected less than 500 mile per year
Lol yeh put down that it'll be sorn'd
Nah I reduced to 3000 miles this year, usually 5000. Can't see me managing 3k to be honest though!
Good price
A good price but nothing you don't deserve for your years of sensible riding.
Appears There's no rhyme or reason to insurance.
Just gone from a sh*tty old mercedes vito worth about £1300 to a brand new £18,000 transit and my insurance dropped by £200!
Meanwhile my home insurance goes up by £30 each year.
I think they just use a roulette wheel or something to invent the quotes
My Vclic ped was just under £60 (TPFT) with my wife as a named rider (she only holds CBT) + free meerkat that sold for £30. The same Ped with just me and not her as a 2nd rider was £20 more from the same broker. So either they make it up as they go along or somehow extra, inexperienced riders equal less risk???????
Also a quote on a ZZR600 is lower for me than I paid on my current 400 (same brokers, excesses)...... How on earth do they figure I'd be less of a risk on a 600CC 99BHP bike compared to a 400CC 56BHP bike? (400 costs me £110 TPFT, a 600 quotes me at £90)
Its all down to statistics with the insurance companies. I can understand the cheaper rate with pillion insurance as I wouldn't be surprised if there were more accidents without a pillion than with. Same goes with mileage, I would expect riders with a higher annual mileage to have fewer accidents per mile and therefore claims - going from 5K to 6K just puts you up into that category. My theory anyway
