A few pics from the Velocette Owners Club annual meet at Crofton.

The bright sunshine brought out the bikes. Not actually owing a Velocette I rode the old man's '37 KTS whilst be brough the '34 KTS. Excellent day bouncing round the back lanes.

I'll let the pics do the talking...

    Our Steeds....

A '46 KSS. The very last of the OHC velos.

Venom Scrambler and standard road Venom

    More Venoms and Vipers

    Vipers

    Thruxton Venom

Thruxton Venom, Triumph Bonnie and BSA Rocket...

And the odd ball of the day..... a series 1 Vincent Comet! Check out the twin front drums...

    To explain the captions.
A KTS?KSS is a pre-war design 350 overhead camshaft. quite advanced for the day nbut expensive and not continued after the war. The Vipers and Venoms are from the 60's. The Viper is a 350 single and the Venom a 500 single. The Thruxton Venom is the sports version of the Venom, having a higher compression ratio, GP carb and better brakes.

Lovely looking bikes there Jon, amazing what a bit of sunshine will do!
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”
