ive got the same one nikki, works on both the gsxr and my aprillia, fantastic bit of kit, you need the power lead too though (think i paid £55 all in) it needs to be the right lead though (both in connector and power)

i have the same holder i find it fills up with water nicely in the rain
now i just use sat-nav from the car stuck on inside of bike screen worked really well on way to spain

I've taped directions to the yoke of the bike before. Works well.

Nikki,
If you are buying a dedicated bike sat nav then all you will need is a mount for the bike as they are waterproof and therefore is no need for an additional case
I had a TomTom Rider pro until recently and it was a great bit of kit 8-)
