Rectified Cables?

I have found a new 7 cable rectifier for my V-strom and now its arrived I have discovered the plugs are different. The 3 feeds into it from the alternator should be ok however the problem is the 4 outputs. The old rectifier had black/white and black/red. Now I have red and black. Common sense tells me red positive, black earth. But before I cut old and new plugs off does anyone have any ideas or shall I bite the bullet send it back and buy an original for £200.

Try belling the recifier out to find the connection order. Also look at the wiring diagram for the bike, that is usually very revealing.

Failing that, connect it to the alternator and measure to output.
