Can anyone recommend a good one that doesn't die half way through my trip, please? The one I have is good, just not good enough. Cheers! >

Depends how long you want the battery to last, I have a garmin that does about 2.5 hours although I have now fitted a 12v socket so I can use it powered up.
I am sure there are others with better battery though.
Does the battery thingy means it'll last for as long as you ride? I was meant to be in Hitchin today, satnav died 80-90 miles into the trip and never made it there. Struggled to find my bay wack too...
oh, but had a lot of fun chasing a CLIO! Of all cars, a CLIO!!!
You can fit a 12V socket with ease, this'll give you a constant power to your satnav. You can get sockets from Halfords for about £5 for a waterproof one (recomended) and it won't need an electrician to fit.
If you need any help wiring it, give me a shout and I'll be more than happy to help [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
I have a Garmin ZUMO 550 which came with a bike kit to connect it to your bike battery - its great [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
