Just been to see the place where Joey Dunlop was killed back in 2000.
It's a very simple memorial in lazer cut aluminium with flowers boardering it.
There were a few tributes left by visitors and looks very well looked after.
It was very humbling that such a great man came to such an untimely death on a country lane, in the middle of a Forrest taking part in a nondescript race.
As I stood in silence I was aware of holidaymakers passing by, only turning their heads to see the strange man in leather with his head bowed, completely unaware that the greatest road racer that ever lived finally ran out of road on that very spot.
