Following a follow up last week with the fractures mob down at RUH I was relieved to learn I didn't have a fracture after all and had also got away without any ligament damage. Whoop Whoop! so could relieve myself of the brace and only use the crutches if I felt I needed them. I still have fluid around the joint and a degree of pain if I kneel on it, over do it or twist my leg so I try not to do any of that. I'll also stay off the trails for a bit. Oh yes, and I start physio tomorrow.

And - I went out on the road bike yesterday which was fabulous, a bit chilly, but absolutely bloody fabulous.
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.”

Great news, how do you manage with the crutches on the road bike. Good for spearing pedestrians and cyclists I imagine.
