I’m trying to set up up the air/fuel mix on a carb which arrived in bits, in the manual it says this: The factory position for most air fuel mixture screws is usually between 1.5 and 2.5 turns out from being screwed all the way in. If you ever want to start fresh, turn the screw clockwise until it is lightly seated, then back it out about 2 turns. Then you can make adjustments from this position.[9]
my question is when it says “turns” does that mean a full 360 turn of the screw or a turn of the wrist which would be a 180 turn of the screw, any help would be appreciated.

I’d assume a full turn as being a 360 rotation Bagde.

It’s on my volusia 800, the original carb had a crack so brought this one and rebuilt it but the bike now runs like crap spluttering once it gets up to speed. Cheers

Yeah jets all good and can’t find any leaks etc, it runs perfect on tick over and low speed up to 60 but over that it splutters.

if it has a fuel pump check it for pressure or it could be the float level is wrong/hole in float so that it starves the bowl of fuel above 60

As LT says one full turn is one complete rotation of the screw .
