    Well….. after removing the damn carb, stripping it and rebuilding it 3 times it still rode the same, in a sudden flash of genius (small and unexpected I admit) I brought a set of spark plugs, it rides like a new bike, so I’m guessing one of the plugs was breaking down at higher revs.
    Anyway problem solved and smile restored.
