after reading and watching the video clip of the (how not to ride your bike thread), I was wondering if anybody fancy's following me and giving me advice good or bad on my riding skills or no skills, as my background on bikes is mainly MX based , and I have only really been riding on the road since June 2013 and that was until November, so I have no idea if am any good or not and would appreciate some advice from you lot if any body would like to meet up some weekend for a ride ? or give me a number to contact someone for one of them assessed riding things or advanced coarse cheers.

p.s am Swindon based if that helps

Evening Brizzer, may not be to everyone's taste, but I can definitely recommend the Bikesafe training. Got board one Christmas and signed up for the two day residential coarse at Portishead HQ the following spring. This was by far better than I ever imagined, 2 days full of normal riding 2to1 tuition and constant briefing emphasising how you could improve your riding, not at all critical of where you may be going wrong. Signed up to do it on my todd and like any situation where everyone has a common interest soon got to know quite a few people. Still practice a lot of stuff I learnt and know others that have done a one day course and also found it well worth it.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Brizzer I reckon BikeSafe is brilliant and also bear in mind IAM and RoSPA will do that for you.

You dont have to carry on with the advanced test or anything more than an initial assessment with IAM or RoSPA if you dont think it's for you.

The RoSPA sessions which run from the Divine Cafe just outside Calne are really relaxed and friendly.

I think the Wiltshire one which runs out of Devizes may be a bit better as Brizzer lives in Swindon.
