I'm looking at replacing my spark plugs and come across iridium tipped. Anyone use these or know anything about them as I have found a site that sells them cheaper than the standard ones. (NGK)

Not worth it used to use them but after a couple of 1000 miles bike was hard to start....took them out...and they was a nice choclate brown so no fueling/air problems...just the way they are.

As for extra power...I didn't notice any...gone back to using the stock two pronged type plugs now.

if you have nitrous, turbo or run on avgas....buy some, but for normal road conditions the standards are the best bet, but you can make standards better! ensure the earth electrode ends OVER the flat of the centre electrode as sparks prefer to jump from corners, this was a tip given to me by a top race team once, and it does work! big nice fat sparks ! ( i file the earth electrode to ensure it ends over the centre electrode, as they come as standard in a very uncontrolled manner......
