Clamp them against what, bottom yoke? :-? Better off using a P-clip, preferably one that's plastic-covered so it won't chafe into the braiding.
Clamp them with one of these, http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165469 when i whip off the calipers for cleaning Always used to on other bikes, but i had braided lines put on, and i wondered if clamping them would damage them?
Oi! Mitch...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Do NOT use that on your braided hoses - if you crush the hose sufficiently to stop fluid leaking you'll damage the plastic inner hose. If you're separating the calipers from the lines you'll have to re-bleed them anyway so it's not worth damaging your lines just to save a few ccs of brake fluid.
IF you're serious about separating calipers from lines and not having to re-bleed (and money is no object), you could fit these Staubli couplings on the lines above the calipers. We use them at Phase One for Endurance racing and they're excellent; if a front pad change is needed during a 24-hour race we just swap the calipers for ones with fresh pads fitted (and top up the reservoir) - quicker than fitting fresh pads and less risky. No fluid is lost and no air gets in 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
Lol, no worries, i had it in my head some damage may occur.
