Last time i was off work was about 2months ago with a bad back, but i tend not to have time off work if i can help it, i'd miss it too much : :-? ;D

I do beleve their is a new system in some work places called a duvet day.

(ie) insted of you going sick for 3 days and no need for a doc's note you can ring in and say your having a duvet day,

your allowed so many a year,

Think this is to cut down on peps taking to many sick days and them losing all them days work ??

Yes this was brought in by the lazy yanks and has taken over in a few firms here.
A couple of my mates work at Intel in Swindon and they dont even get the duvet day or our Bank Holidays as it is an American company and only american days off, I think that mean....

being the boss I can kinda take the day off whenever I want...though don't do it, setting an example etc! I can't remember the last time I had a day off sick either! I do use a lot of holiday though :P

Virgin are pretty good at allowing you to move shifts around and stuff, i can call in on the day and if theres holiday available i don't have to go in!!
