It's done.
“ In order to raise awareness of motorcyclists on Britain’s roads, Bennetts, the UK's No.1 Bike Insurance Specialist, is campaigning to ensure biker related questions are made compulsory in the driving theory test – who despite accounting for just 1% of road traffic, fall victim to over a fifth of all fatalities on the roads.”
This is horrendous if these statistics quoted by Bennetts are correct (no reason to doubt them).
I know it may not be practical and will never happen, but I’ve always thought that every road user should ride a bicycle and a small cc motorcycle for a short spell during training for a full car licence.
If you have never ridden either modes of transport it’s difficult to appreciate just how vulnerable bikers and cyclists are.
I've signed!
