If the sender is from the Goverment then it should end .gov

I've not been contacted by the HMRC by email they normally use the postal service.

    Thanks for the alert [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I phoned HMRC and they state that they never contact anyone by email concerning refunds - its on their automated service - its a scam!

As someone who sadly has to deal with HMRC on an almost daily basis I can assure you they dont use email - getting them to reply to a letter is hard enough : :

I don't need a tax rebate because Prince Umbugu has promised to give me 30% of his £50,000,000 fortune for letting him use my bank account to get his money out of Uganda.

See you later motherf*ckers, I'm gonna be rich!

Well I'm rich, and a total liability according to my SPAM box. Ebay, Paypal, Barclays, LloydsTSB, Nationwide, Santander, Nat West, have all suspended my accounts until I verify them. Whereas Prince Umbugu, HMRC, National Lottery, and various other raffles, are all queuing up to give me money. Then again, someone must have let the cat out the bag, because Viagra is being pushed my way too... :
