Need to clean all the remains of kamikazi insects from the front of my leathers and wondered if there was some uber special way of doing it? normally just use cloth and water but what do you use???

Yep, cloth and water work fine, obviously the longer the bugs have been there, the harder they are to shift :-/ An alternative that has a similar effect is riding in the rain for a fair distance, the drawbacks of which are that you get wet and cold, the bike gets filthy and your leathers are soaked, but largely bug-free (may need some road dirt wiping off them too). Something to try on a regular basis is unscented baby wipes - have a pack handy and spend a minute cleaning your leathers after every ride before putting them away. Dead easy, doesn't take long and saves the effort of a big clean at the end of summer.

Another approach to the "one big clean" method is to send them to Scrubbers who'll do a brilliant job on them, plus any repairs necessary (charged for, of course) - it costs around £50 I think, but they come back looking like new 8-)

Would definitely recommend scrubbers - a load of us (scotty included) sent leathers off to them last winter and they did a top job - like new again!
