Its time for new tyres again!, i only get about 7 months out of a rear and like to change them as a pair (even though the fronts only about 50% worn)

I had Metzler z6 fitted earlier in the year, and i have never got on with them, in ideal conditions, they grip very well, but in less than ideal conditions, i find the front wheel slides before the rear (never good on a roundabout!)

So, this time around, i am after a pair deal on some Avon Storm 2 Ultra

    front tyre is 110 70/17
    rear tyre is 160 60/17

The best quote i have had so far is from national tyres in Salisbury at £214.20 fitted (to loose wheels though )

I dont really know any other motorbike tyre fitters around Warminster, if anyone else has had a good deal from someone within about 30-40 miles, can they let me know please ?

    Thanks

I got mine delivered from roundandblack from ebay.
I had a hunt round and they were cheapest.

I got them delivered direct to Finbar in Calne and he fitted them.
It was either £30 or £40 for fitting for both (can't remember exact figure).

Give cabot tyres in bristol a ring Tel: 0117 9775793 if you can't find anything better nearer to you, they do ride in ride out and are quite reasonable. I live just round the corner and tend to buy tyres off the net and they charge about £12 to fit loose. A mate got a pair of a similar size ride-in-ride-out for £175 off the top of my head.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone

I found another Fazer rider in calne that had a delivery mileage rear Metzler Z6 that he let me have for £35 (it still had its little spikes on it), I fitted it and balance it myself last night and rode 350 miles on it today and it runs nicely again !.

I also found someone with another part worn tyre with 6-5-6 mm left (so only 1mm gone from the centre) which i got for £20, so when i wear out my current tyre, i now have a spare ready to fit !
