That does look very nice. Last big trailie thing I had was back in 1988. A Suzuki DR750 single

I am at the UK launch next month at Sillystone - will be a tough day with trhat and the FZ8, along with off road testing on the Wr125, 250 and XT oh yeah and testing the R1 and R6 on the new circuit

Perks of the job at times

Word on the street is pricing will be between £11,500 and £13,500 but thats via BMW so will have to wait and see. Like most new big trailies it's road biased and looks like it will do a superb job at that. I think the spec is aimed directly against the GS's and the styling quite like the Varadero. Bit lardy (5Kg more than my Adventure which has 10L more fuel) but that won't be a problem on tarmac. I'm a recent convert to trailies and I think they are great bikes. Will be up for a test ride of the Ducati Multsistrada when I can get one!

If it is between £11.5k & £13.5k they won't sell many. The UK is still 'make' driven to a certain extent and if people want a big trailie/all rounder they buy BMW's.
When are they out in the dealers? As it is the only bike I've seen in a while that I would replace the MT-01 with (if the price is right)

I'd need a step ladder for that!! And to rob a bank to pay for it!!!

So is history going to repeat it self.Out of the winning Paris Dakar 750 Super Tenere of the early 90's with the 270 firing crank, came the 850 TDMMk2 in 1996,then the 900 TDM in 2002 which hasn't changed since.wonder if a new 1200TDM is on the cards
