the old addage is it's the worst of both worlds...you still get stuck in traffic like a car, except you're out in the elements getting cold and wet!
but yes, you can ride on a car license, so cheaper in theory!

thanks Dabz, youve made my mind up stick with car, get bike licence and then bike, then get rid of car.
