I've heard on the grapevine, that some manufacturers state use of Muc-Off invalidates your warranty against paintwork damage as it's so harsh...

I think there has been a thread about it on here in the past if my memory serves me correctly....

From what ive just read. its rather harsh neat depending on the Type of product it is. Others are saying to dilute the mixture. the Freebie is a 100ml Bottle..

BMW used to refuse warranty work for corrosion if they found out the bike had been cleaned with Muc-Off. Don't know if that still stands, or if the recipe's been changed.

TBH, I think a lot of the problem was people not using it correctly. If you have to use it, don't let it dry onto any part of your bike, don't use it on any hot part of your bike, even if it's only been heated by the sun, and rinse it off thoroughly afterwards. Watering it down as a 5-1 mix is a good idea as well as it is very aggressive stuff.

There's better stuff out there, but if it's free.....

It will strip anodising double quick, so all you Bandit owners steer clear, SDOC100 is a far superior product.
