    “Murderdromes”—that was the nickname given to the motordromes used in the early days of motorcycle racing. These circular wooden tracks, surfaced with two-by-fours, were modeled after the courses used for bicycle racing but with steeper banking, which enabled riders to maintain speed as they took the curves.

    A good find there mate, the boys were proper going for it weren't they 100mph get offs on a wooden track as well . I like the tank pads.
    Read in mcn recently of a German group, who have built a new track and run their bikes round it, crazy.
