Thanks for the nice comments about the photos. Funnily enough, I think the coolest ones involve water, not bikes: Harry contemplating the sea, the yacht in glittering water, the jetski. The thing about the bikes was the sheer number of them and that's hard to convey in a small rectangle - you just had to be there ... and if you weren't, there's always next year! Tales of the chaos and crazy riding I'd heard from people who'd been before didn't match reality at all --- the exodus from the Ace was quite orderly and the only incident I saw was very minor (caught on camera above). I'd certainly go again.

Sorry we didn't meet up with everyone when we got to Brighton - we were just arriving when I got a call from JJ, but my phone battery died before I could return it Next time though, I'd suggest re-grouping in the services before tackling the strenuous filtering in to Brighton ;D We bumped in to Carbonkid headed away from the pier as we were headed towards it, explored that for a while and had a drink at the bar at the end (great views but terrible service!), then a quick wander round town followed by an excellent cup of tea in the pretty park full of bikes before heading home about 17:00.
