All I can say to that is WELCOME to the home for the Moderately Bewildered!! ;)
You should feel quite at home here with the rest of us!! :D (I do! ::))
What did you used to use and abuse from the smokey world of 2 strokes???

Hello Amante
Hi Kevb
Amante_271
What did you used to use and abuse from the smokey world of 2 strokes???
Mostly elsies, i've owned a couple of 350's, Mk2 YPVS, RGV 250, most of the amusing tools of that era, ;D
I ran a KH250 for a while, and i'm still suffering from white finger even now :-[
Have you got a fuming history yourself ?
I used & abused an RG250 (pre V) in days of yore... was great fun - it got blown up playing round Mallory :(
BB
Yes. I drag raced a road legal (not saying which road mind you! ::)) Suzuki X7. If you go to the Gallery tab next to the Home tab at the top of the page, there is a photo of a photo in the section Old and next generation.
The bike was bought stock and put into 3 piles, engine, frame & wheels, & Junk!! The engine was re-bored to take TS125 1st over size pistons, to take it to 271cc, S&B air filters, Hy-tech competition reeds, 2 base gaskets & the head gasket was split into 5 sleeves and 2 replaced, 102.5main jets, & modified Micron expansion chambers.
The seat was off a TZ350 race bike with home made padding! Rear light was from an original Triumph Tiger. Micron ace bars. KH400 clocks, & head lights were a pair of Halford spot/fog lights with 120w high beam/80w low beam. It also had a Kawasaki 7 point steering damper just to be sensible!
I think that was it!! It ran 12.96 at Long Marston (Avon Parkway) :o
I also had a series of smaller learner bikes (RS100, GP100, briefly a AP100 & Ive even got a YB100 in the garage waiting to be used as a donor bike for an off road buggy project that I WILL get round to one day!! ::) ... in theory!)
hi and welcome to the mad house ;D
Maths not being Amante's strong point... ;D ;D ;DQuote:

I hope the damage sustained at Mallory was only mechanical :(
Amante
Big respect to that 8-)
Most of my 'tinkering' was remedial, alas, levers, bars, pegs etc due to far too many front wheel lock-ups whilst racing the rain home :-[
Every other weekend, or so it seemed, was a breakers or Fowlers
parts run ::)
It was indeed, thankyou - I saved the major off for the road! :o Still out & about on a bike tho' [smiley=thumbsup.gif]Quote:

Hi and ta jack930
BB,
its always good to hear that people continue to ride after a nasty off
motorcycling, its in your blood,
8-)
lol, sure is - although I kept the blood to myself and just went for some breakages - and lots of multicoloured bruising! :D
BB
This woman has sump oil (Castrol R) in her veins!
Ouch BB,
Much better than permanent tattoo's, you get a slightly different design to look at each day and they disappear after a while :)
Better than the normal ice hey Amante ;)
So you know my X-wife then??? She was a real Babe .... just like the one in the film!! :oQuote:
