Hi, good luck with and enjoy the CBT.

Yeah good luck, CBT is easy and basic so good for your first time on a bike [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
cool, then i get the fun of finding a bike but not got alot of funds, whats recommended for a 125?
ive only just sold off my old 125, had a little CBR was a good little bike sold it for 900 was in v good condition aswell
i have no idea what bikes are good and what isnt, is the cbr 125 a good one then?
yeah i liked it anyway, depends what type of bike you want aswell like, motorcross, sports, etc etc
i like sports bikes, but i dnt think i could get on very well with something heavy, steves 125 was well heavy to use, i think he had a hyosung,
i like the RS125's was gona get one of them but decided to go 4stroke insted
what made u change ur mind?
4 stroke is alot more reliable, i think i woulda cooked the engine if i had a 2 stroke lol ;D
oh i see lol just avin a browse on ebay to see whats around, but then im one of them people what goes on looks before n e thing else lol ::)
Most honda 125s are quite nice, the CBR is the most popular one they do, however the New CBF is so popular at George whites atm they haven't got any in! My mrs' has only just arrived in a crate and she ordered it over a month ago =[
As for others, 4 stroke is a more reliable engine and also i feel a more smoother ride from past experience.
But as they say it's all down to the person buying it. the honda CG is also a good starter bike as is the yamaha YBR 125 and Custom. though you can usually grab a bargain on ebay [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
what about imports? is it worth looking at them?
Personaly myself i wouldent, but each to there own ;)
true, but whats the deal with them? harder to fix? insure? :-/
Depends on the import.
Most chinese imports are made of plastic and are 50/50 when it comes to reliability. they also tend to rattle when riding at 60 apparently. Also most bike garages rarely touch them as the parts aren't usually sold in this country.
But, then again, they are cheap and probably a good run around if you don't intend on staying on it long.
At the end of the day it's your choice. if you have a tight budget then up to you, but for £1800 you can buy a brand new 125 from GW.
i dnt have much to spend so im not likely to get anything near new but im also not intending to keep it for long i just want it to use for a few of months untill i do my bike test, something to practise on and get to grips with riding really [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
hahaha we got pic on lets see ya faces ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Personally I wouldn't touch them - I've seen too many that are knackered at 1000 miles or less! Plus parts are near impossible to get, performance is rubbish and worth nothing because of the fore mentioned reasons.Quote:
