Boxhill 12th March 2006
Yup, Neil (SkyJawa), Karen (Nice/RVFBabe) and I went over to Boxhill. Below are some of the pictures (and I just randomly took them!)
The size of this bike was HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!

These next pictures are from the Ninja lot that turned up..... Richie, there were too many of you to randomly choose somebody to ask who was you so we chose not to! ;) :D

We had a good ride back afterwards and although there were quite a few Sunday drivers out we managed to get past them and have some fun! I am sure the site of Neil and I dancing at some traffic lights would have been funny for those in their cars around us, it certainly was for Nice who was sat behind us! ;D We even had some young girlie singing to us at one point via our intercoms and I think the people in the Merc watching us dancing to Grease (whilst accompanied by the girlie singing) had huge big grins on their faces! ;D ;D

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
Yep - cracking day!!! Got a few wobbles of the bars on some of those back b roads (a bit dodgy surfaced areas!!) but nothing major!! Thoroughly enjoyed it 8-)
As dancing at the lights was well funny!!! Wasn't aware of the people in the Merc until Nice said as we were driving off LMAO :-[ :D

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
Richie, I said to the others that we should have got your mobile before leaving! We weren't too sure which blue one was yours out of the two.
The three of us are nearer so we just went M25 from Guildford (which is where Neil is from) to Boxhill as we wanted a cup of tea! From there though we went cross country back towards Guildford down the A246.

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
Im so jealous!!
I stood outside a F*cking petrol station in Salisbury freezing my tits off fundraising for local kids with Cerebral Palsy!
Worthy cause I know but still F*cking cold & having seen the pics Im even more jealous!! Trouble of being car bound these days :(
Had a S40 Volvo pull out in front of me while overtaking a line of snail paced cars on a mile+ straight on the road between Devizes and Avebury! I was doing over the ton at the time! Thank God for ABS!!

Bugger mate :( I have my old 1.9 8v gearbox in the garage if it would help? Fits the Mi16 lump fine, and alot prefer it to the Mi16 box. I replaced it with a recon box, it works perfectly fine, just a slight crunch into 3rd which goes when the oil gets up to temp. There if you need it.............
-
Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
Syncros on its way out then...same with my current 205...its ok if u drive and change gears gently...but if ragging it then its does grind...lol
Back on subject...great pics...

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
Had the synsro go on an old 405 SRi, I could only use 1,3 &5th! Still went like hot sh*t off a shovel!!!

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
Rich, it was really weird when the girl started singing in to our helmets! I thought it was Nice to begin with! ;D
Paul, I just hope the gearbox is a good one! Fingers crossed......

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
how many people have intercoms?/?
Used to have a limited edition 1.9Gti in miami blue. Had full leather seats, power stearing and grey carpets instead of red. It was a beast but got rid of it for the 206 Gti. Biggest mistake i made. Should have put a new engine in the 205.
If you only have faith in this new gear box to last a little while then if i were you, i would start saving now to send it up to scotland and have the 306 Gti6 lump put in it with gear box. last time i looked (which was a while ago) but it was about £1500. good luck with the car.
So when is the next box hill happening and how far did most people travel??

mine is one of the miami blue LTD editions aswell it has the mi16 lump, im not going down the gti-6 route though as the gearbag is alot wider.
-
Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
you can use the 8v and Mi16 gearboxes with the gti-6 engine which solves that prob as its still an XU series :)
Most still tend to go with the Mi alloy block rather than the cast "6" lump as its minimally more heavy than the 8v lump. The cast block is a bit more torquey mind and still a good conversion :)
LOL @ Rich re the fitting 8-)

Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
I use more cable ties though!

are the intercoms really good then?? any ideas on price as if i get one it would be one for me and one for my missus. She likes going pillion but is still al bit nervous and it would be good if i could talk to her and let her know what was happening next.
-
Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
The worlds best mate if you run Autocom, for you and your misses talking bike to bike will cost you just over £350 or on a rider to pillion on one bike £169.99. PM me mate if you need to know anymore its my job.
-
Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
Damn you, I was only king of the cable ties for a week? :(
Dutch - they are superb. When I picked my 6R up I went with Scott having removed it from my px bike. It was so hard to provide directions or say if you needed petrol etc - with the intercom it was great :)
-
Re: Boxhill 12th March 2006
I am the king mate you are a slave.............:)
