Insurance this year

My insurance is due in January - gonna be more this year because of moving from the bandit to the TT, which is about 3 insurance groups higher despite being half the engine size! Just been doing some online quotes and TPFT is coming out at just £182 which is less than I thought (gotta add on £17 for legal cover though)...fully comp is still £350 unfortunately which I can't afford at the mo, especially as I need 2 new tyres :(

oh and it includes riding other bikes this year - GB...hand it over ;)

Dabz, have you tried Ebike? I've found them much cheaper, especially if you have 2 bikes. http://www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk/

I'm with MCE for the FZ1, came in at nearly half the price of the company I had the Bonnie with. Although Carole Nash - who I have the classic stuff with is ace with customer care following a claim.

Ebike just came out at £213.80, £50 lower ecess though

I've been with Carole Nash for 5 years and haven't found another company that even gets close on price or benefits.

I have also heard that they are very good when it comes to claiming.

Yup, CN are good, a couple of years ago they gave me a hire car in France for the week when I blew up an engine 25 miles away from the ferry on the 1st day of the holiday! Stored the bike no probs etc Meant I ended up carrying all the luggage for the gang I was with tho! ::)

Paid out no probs on the Bonnie earlier this year.

Have heard that e-bike insurance are good, especially if you are a MAG member as they are their preferred insurer and give extra discounts to members. £20 to join MAG, posibility of saving more on insurance. Saying that 1st Quote were the cheapest for me last year but don't answer thier phones quickly.

That's who we use, fantastic value. £82 for my zed :o And my brother, who passed his bike test aged 22yrs, straight onto a brand new 600rr, paid 2k less than other quotes - London postcode as well.

£193.82 on direct choice :P funnily enough with AXA which is the same as my 1st quote through insurance2000.co.uk who quoted £11 less
