Ok, i own a Honda cbf250 and i recently decided to take it to reserve, i got to reserve at 250 miles ish, which turns out to be 85 mpg from a 16 litre fuel tank with 2.5 litre reserve. I was just wondering what everyone else gets roughly.

Not enough! Only about 120 miles per tank on my CBR600 :'( Do hate having to stop to fuel up so much!
Gsxr 1000 k6, making progress :D but using the engines torque, 39 mpg is normal. if I am in touring mode 46 mpg is possible, which I find amazing! So 155 to 160 miles per tank is do''able.
250 miles on 16 litres of fuel is actually 71mpg, still very good economy though, if you used the 2.5 litre reserve as well (i'm not sure if you did), then its only 61mpg
My FZS600 does 210 miles between fillups and takes 20 litres which is about 48mpg
I get about 35-38mpg out of the MT-01. It only has a 15 ltr tank (12 Litres plus 3 reserve). If I rant it, which is my normal riding style I hit reserve after about 100 miles.
Just under 40 to the gallon on the FJ1200 – 160 miles before the fuel light
Just under 50 to the gallon on the Bandit 600 - 145 before reserve
On my 955i get about 50mpg or 175miles before the light pops on for the trip to work and back.
..well I covered 83 miles on £7 of fuel whatever that equates to on my ZX6R. I suppose around 150-180 mile range per tankful average riding. I used to have a CB125T when petrol was 50p per gallon. Could cover about 130 miles on 75p of fuel. [smiley=happy.gif]
That's 55 miles to the gall lolQuote:

I get around 37.5 ish according to a quick load of calculations on my CBR600F that's based on A-Road riding though and running up the revs quite a bit and an average of filling the tank at 150 mile point.
I get about an extra 20/30 miles out of a tank on motorways so that would push it up a bit, but that's sat at 80mph in 6th gear.
I get about 65 mile to a tank full (well til I hit reserve) Could be something to so with small tank, riding the throttle like an on/ off switch but only costs £8-9 to fill up
I get around 58 MPG on my Silverwing but less if in spirited mode.
I don't think I have a reserve becasue I have a fuel gauge on the bike but a full tank on my YZF R125 will do about 250 miles but then my top speed is only 80 lol
MPG...no idea for the bandit..I just fill up up when its empty! ;D ;)
With Petrol Not DIESEL. I know it was your Dad not you :PQuote:

My VTEC VFR does 45-50mpg without fail, even with my girlfriend on the back. It has been up to near 60mpg bimbling on a motorway at 70mph.
I had a '97 cbr600f and that wasn't much better than the vfr to be honest.
I also had a Honda cm125 back in 1985, that did over 80mpg. I think fuel was about 75p a gallon then :)
17Ltr Tank, I went to Redruth, Cornwall last friday morning via A303 Exeter,Plymouth/Liskard( lot of traffic) then picked up the A30 at Bodmin got to Redruth with 220 miles and fuel warning light came on.Filled up again Sunday 17ltr and only used about 3/4 tank and had 45miles left when got back home. ;D
Anywhere between 320 and 400 miles per tank depending on my mood. Does cost me 35 quid to fill up though. 33 litre tank.
get about 120-130 out of a tank full on my gixxer though on the road and about 50-60 on a track day
I like these figuresQuote:

Nickw why so low on the vfr??
I get about 180 to 200 miles to a tank on the olf Fi VFR800
Hornet returns between 35 & 45 mpg depending upon how I ride it.
i use approx £11-12 to fill tank and get 150miles....is that good or bad?
I'm just glad my bike does about 38mpg. My 2.8TD Pajero I only get about 20mpg which is still more economical than the 3.2Ltr Merc coupe I just sold. Only did about 14 :o
Do I just buy wagons and bikes that seam to run on fumes or something?? The wifes Passat avg's about 40Mpg when I used to use it running up and down to Wallingford it ran at 55Mpg, when I had the Golf GTi I was getting about 30Mpg for a town journey of 4 Miles, but on a good run I got 38Mpg....
I am not sure it is low to be honest. I recently went to Bournemouth with the girlfriend on the backand luggage. We did 200 miles on that day and put in just over 17 litres to fill it back up again. So thats at the 50 mpg mark, Not bad I dont think. I regulary see 200 miles before I fill it up.Quote:

Pretty similar figures, I may have a bigger tank range, not sure ;)

Our YBR125's do about 140mpg.
Our Van Van's do about 100mpg.
Our GS500K7's do about 65mpg.
My FZ1 does about 45mpg.
My R1 when I was racing, was doing less than 20mpg! Normally about 17mpg... :o
I also have no idea, just fill up when needed. But I dont even notice as when you fill up your bike for £15 now and then, it never seems to hurt as much as a car £40 ago. I have not had a car for over 3 years now, which always seemed needing petrol. I am quite happy to put it in. :)
My Pajero has a 100 litre diesel tank :o
I try and fill it when it gets down to a quarter full. That way i'm only usually depressed for about an hour. :'(
I'm going home in just over a weeks time, I need a pasty. Normally make sure I fill up around Monkton when I stop for a burger and a cuppa at that great little layby burger van.Quote:

My Dodge Charger takes 19 gallons, but needs filling after going to Swindon and back. Normally does about 8 to the gallon... :o The bike sort of balances things out... sort of... :'(
A few less pies for the driver me thinks, keep the weight down :D
Well we will really see what my bike does with the North Wales run this Sunday....
8 miles to the gallon. You will need a few more of the 5p of per litre vouchers from Tesco or Sainsbury's then.
Yes please!!! ;DQuote:

I managed 60 mpg from my XJ6 while I was doing its first 600 miles very slowly at 5,000 rpm max. Can now go to 7,000 rpm for next 400 miles so mpg will start falling now!!....
Adrian :-?
Actually, I've worked it out, and it's doing 10.2mpg. I think not bad for a 7.3litre V8. And that was carrying a tent, 3 sleeping bags, 3 airbeds, a gas cooker, gas bottle, 3 deck chairs, a spare radiator, 3 socket sets of different sizes, timing light, 5 litres of water, 2 litres of trans fluid, 2 litres of oil, various electrical connectors and tools, 3 clothes bags, 3 pillows, 2 cool bags and a cool box, a copy of 'NUTS' magazine, and me and 2 mates. Who's the fat git??? :PQuote:
