I’m in need of replacing back tyre but don’t know where I can get it changed over.. fitting it back on I’m fine for.

Melksham Tyres fit and balance, Carsons in Melksham are now Wiltshire Tyres, but not been in since change.
there are a few deals around for pairs which make the fronts around £30. fitting and balancing extra.
I can find pairs from places like M&P or other places on line cheaper than I can buy trade.
what bike? what make of front are you sticking with?
I have Continentals on the road bike, just keep the same manufacturer as you have on the front, or if your not happy with it, change them as a pair. I do my own fitting and balancing.
I usually use Carsons and turned up to see they are now Wiltshire Tyres. They supplied and fitted a Pirelli to a loose rear wheel from my VFR800, after a serious puncture. I left the wheel and HM The Wife collected it the next day as they had to get the tyre delivered to them. No dramas, no damage to the wheel, no vibrations from imbalance, happily lifted wheel into the boot of her car. Reasonable price too. Can only recommend after my limited experience.

I get email shots from MPS, as do many bikers. They do offers of either pairs or single tyres at very competitive prices. I was going to say 'cheap' but no decent superbike tyre is that. They do free delivery. Tyre depots that do bikes will fit to loose rims for £15 a tyre. You are still quids in compared with general pricing. I'm sure others as well as MPS do these Mail Order deals.
I brought a tyre from eBay last year, to be fair it WAS a new tyre as in it'd never been fitted on a bike but when I date checked it it was a 2002 tyre. not ideal. I now check the age of tyres before buying, online and in person.
That's not bad if you're 'riding the arse off', I was getting 2 - 2.5k out of the rear on my GSXR on SuperCorsas which was one of the reasons I swapped to PR3's, not as much feel but I've given up needing that much on the road (if I ever did) and I haven't made a track day on it in years. From memory I paid about £180 for the last pair, that wasn't fitted as I have a mate who owns a tyre shop so he sorts my tyres for me ; )
comments generally reflect why bike shops are closing down. the trade mag has a big dealer closing each month , they don't know how many small ones close each year.
M&P get their tyres from the same place as I do for the same price, yet sell them cheaper than they paid for them. its their loss leader, to get you to go back and buy something else from them.
Oponeo, tyres are always recent dated prices are hard to beat and delivery is fast. For anyone near Andover, TRS at Andover Down will do a pair of loose wheels for £10-15. It's paying for a roll in, roll out service normally rockets the price. Not alot of work to get the bike on stands at home, remove the wheels and take them to the fitter.
I went with Pirelli's angle city front and rear for £175.98 (to be precise) which includes new valves, balancing and fitting for me. As they like to call it, ride in ride out... Wiltshire Tyres are actually pretty good so far.. Told me they would definitely be delivered Tuesday but i arranged Saturday to have them fitted as during next week i am at work. I got a call today to say they were there already (one day after ordering them) and i could go in a week early to get them fitted. Pretty pleased so far.

i am pleased to say, the pirelli look daymn fine on my bike. it feels like a whole new bike! I used to only be able to squeeze 65 out my bike but can happily get 70 on a straight now. Yes, i know they have said ride 100 miles before you go full out but, i just simply couldn't help myself...
That's advice you really really should be taking notice of, although I think 100 miles is abit over the top, I ride like a loon most of the time but for the 1st 50 miles after new boots I'm driving miss daisy. At risk of sounding like an old git again, there's no point in asking for riding advice if your going to ignore it ;)............... although I learnt that the hard way il admit.
caveat on my bill always says 100 miles, you drop the bike before you have no comeback. its there for a reason.
as recommended by all the major manufacturers, its primarily due to the release agent used in the moulds and secondly , to allow for seating on the beads correctly. I have known painted alloy wheels with excessive old tyre lube/soap used for fitting build up or corrosion of the ally cause leaking. you wouldn't want at higher speeds.
I would also say, not just brand new tyres, i've got Diablo Rosso 3's on my Fireblade, it went into storage September 2016, came out September 2017, and was slip sliding away on the rear for the first hundred miles or so, to the point i thought the suspension was farked till i'd scrubbed them in again.
It was only the once as i was reaching my 100th mile. I hear they say they say to go 100 miles to wear down the 'chicken strip', more so to go 100 miles for cornering before giving it a full booting round the bends. I was only going on a straight, dry weather, no wind etc etc... it was well planned and i'm still here so we're all good xD.
The 100 miles need to be dry miles. Wet miles don't scrub the surface enough and don't count.
