Oh, I wouldn't buy one from there, just wanted to sit on their stock lol ;D ....which is exactly what I did. Jeeeez, they are heavy. :o There isn't a great deal of difference in the height of the GS500 & SV650 - i'm on tip toes with both but I sat on a naked SV and a sports SV and sheeeeet, I really noticed the sports position and the bike felt so much heavier.
Sat on a GS & SV in Oxford too and they felt a little lower.
Probably worth checking if the ones you are looking (that seem a bit too high) can be lowered. I think for most bikes it is fairly simple! I am sure they will be able to tell you at the shop you are looking in - you might be able to negotiate lowering as a freebie!!
Yes, I have checked and the are both easy to lower. Anything up to 35mm :D
Beware that lowing a naked sv is hard as the bars go over the top of the forks. This isn't an issue on a S as these have clip on style bars.
thanks Jon. My course with Mark starts tomorrow. Eeek!
Good luck tomorrow.
Cheers, had a fab day today :D fingers crossed for next weeks Mod1 test :o
You're in good hands with Mark.Quote:
