Hi Nokesy
Your friend is correct.
Internet dating has a number of advantages over the 'good old days' and let's consider them here:
1) You can select potential partners based on criteria that match your needs, such as education, religion, hobbies, looks etc.
2) All of this can be achieved without a lengthy conversation.
3) There's no pressure. You can email someone who you find attractive without the 'pre-match' nerves you may get when thinking of approaching someone in a bar.
And all of this can be achieved from the comfort of your own home.
My tip would be to take it easy, relax and enjoy the experience.
When you agree to meet someone, only ever agree to meet as friends, and only for a short time, say one drink. That way if the 'chemistry' is sadly missing neither of you waste loads of time.
It also take the pressure off what some people may see as a stressful situation.
Don't get hung up if someone doesn't email you back or if after a meeting they don't want to see you again. There are millions of potential partners out there and internet dating opens up the choice.
I'll be writing loads more on this subject on the free hints and tips email on my site and also the blog is scheduled to start next week so will post the details on here.
Happy internet dating.
Callum
