Should be a good turnout then :)
I wont be able to make this as I am still sick as a dog. My thoughts are with his family and all that go.
Only just read this thread.
So sorry to hear that 'one of us' is no longer with us.
My thoughts are with his family.
Depression is a very debilatating illness which often goes un-noticed (or hidden by the person who is suffering from it's terrible effects)
RIP Darren
I will be joining the meet at Mc D's on Wednesday.

Thinking off everyone at this time today both family and friends, and I would just like to say, I didn't have the pleasure to meet you Darren, but I have heard so much good about you have a safe journey onwards RIP to a fellow biker.
3.00 PM
The group just rode past the office, to many to count, but a really good turn out.
Darren would have been (or is) well chuffed, I bet.
The sun was even shining !
RIP Mate.
G
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Darren's death. He did his test with me, and was a thoroughly decent bloke. Couldn't get back in time from work today, although I did pass the procession of bikes heading towards Yarnbrook. My thoughts go out to his girlfriend and family, who I know are devastated. RIP.
Well done to all who turned out today for Darren. Moving ceremony, I think he would have been proud to see so many bikes not sure of exact number but close on 30.
The following Bikers Poem, very moving
May the sun rise in front of me
May the rain fall behind me & the wind follow me
May Angels guard my travels
for they know the road ahead of me
Keep me safe through swirling turns & rolling hills
Let the eagle guide me to mountain tops
let the moon's light guide me through the night
Lord, thenk you for letting me be a Biker
I think we did him proud :)
It's times like these that I feel proud to be a biker 8-)
I thought we gave Darren a send off to be proud of today. Well done to the outriders who did a great job of holding back the traffic at the junctions, it worked really well.
I was honoured to be given the pleasure of taking Darren's sister Jo as my pillion and leading the line along with Steve with Michelle on the back of Darren's Ducati 900SS.
A lovely service and a good laugh with some interesting photos back at the pub afterwards!
RIP mate.
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to ride with him one last time, I really wish it wasn't the case but hopefully he was having a hoot watching the whole carry on......... was especially for you and your family 8-) 8-) 8-)
I agree with all of the above.
Respect to everyone involved.
My thoughts are with his family.
And for anyone who wondered what all the laughing was coming from the back of the pub........................................... Darren we all know what you werent wearing today ;) sooo funny :) and fitting. ;D ;D ;D
Hi BIG BIG THĂ€NKS for today
Special thanks to all that did the 'road managing' brilliant!
Steve B
Very very moving indeed, I'm proud to say i was was part of it. Sure that the chap himself would have been looking down and grinning.
Very moving ceremony. Was an honor to have known Darren and to see him off in such a manner.
Hope you liked it mate.
Both Dad and I were very honoured to be a part of today. The news shocked us that Darren had been so low and taken his own life that it's still sinking in now and I'm sure we all wished he was still here today but life sometimes deals a real **** hand and all we can do is comfort each other at this difficult time.... I think we did a grand job today.
Darren to me was a free spirit, a person who was always willing to help, to put a smile on your face or make you giggle by doing something goofy! I will miss his big grin and having a little catch up on FB. He always asked after Alfie and Dad, he was just a top bloke to me and someone who wasn't afraid to speak his mind.
Today was emotional but wonderful. Listening to the love his family felt for him and the sorrow they feel now at not having him with them will stay with me forever. I feel very proud of being part of Darren's last ride out, it was a perfect day, the sun shone and the sky was blue, the roads were dry and the journey was clear. Thanks to all that made it happen.
RIP Hairy Maclarey, thank you for making me laugh, smile and giggle, you were a diamond geezer.
Love and peace dude

Agree with all of the above.. Darren was a good friend and a true biker.
I'll miss his ear to ear grin, and his wicked sense of humour.
Hope he is now at peace, :)
Amazing day, one I'm proud to be part of. Sweet dreams, Darren. Ride free.
A great send off for a great man. Just such a shame it got that bad.
Proved how much he was liked and there would have been more if there could have been.
I'd be over the moon with a send off like that 8-)
Goodbye to Darren, I'm really glad to have met him and that I could pay my last respects with his friends and family.
Ride In Peace.
Rather shocking hearing of this, cant remember if i ever met Darren or not, probably at some point sometime. Sad news none the less. Ride in peace bro.
Only just heard about this, so sad, but from reading the thread well done to you WB at the funeral, sounds like an awesome send off for a top fella :)
As said before, RIP, ride free and Nelly .... loved yr poem :-*
