Sounds like you need to spend a bit of time on track Gerry so you can practice using the SV's torque curve to get good drive out of corners and apply the theory to roundabouts - those little things fly if you twang the wire hard enough and the broad spread of usable power is really useful and easily accessible without the worry of being launched into the scenery if you're a bit injudicious (like you can be on a modern litre bike...)
The last time I looked on SWB there was but one place left in the novice group... don't use procrastination as an excuse for getting out of having a good time... ;)
