jack not to clued up on the modern bikes but iam sure its not a £500 problem :oprobably a loose conection or some wet got in the ignition system somewhere was raining when you road home try this link it may help http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...ont-spark.html wrong link try this one ;D
Re: Started then Didnt start
Ok any one know about bike electrics , that could help and test lol
Ps thanks Thunderbird
Re: Started then Didnt start
Check the coil pack, like thunderbird said probably got affected by the rain
Re: Started then Didnt start
someone posted this on ninja forum
No spark to any plug rules out coils, leads, plugs.
As it turns over that rules out kill switch, clutch switch, sidestand switch.
That leaves ignition pickup (rh end of crank) CDI or wiring somewhere.
Check connectors to RH switches, ignition pickup, CDI and ignition switch
Check Oil pressure light and neutral light are on as they are fed off same fuse
All lights work ..
Re: Started then Didnt start
based on the info you have posted i would look at the ignition pick ups i think they are refering to them as the igniters in the link i posted,do you have a manual for the bike jack if you dont have a multimeter just go through all the conectors and check they are nice and firm and free from corrosion also look for any splits or cracks in the wires insulation

Re: Started then Didnt start
Right, from the shop telling me i need a CDI unit and him telling me it would cost £100-150,
I have got it myself all for the sum of £40 :o
So if i need any other bits ,i think im gona do the work myself and get them at half the price he is giving me :-?
Re: Started then Didnt start
lets hope its only the cdi then jack £40 sounds alot better than £500
Re: Started then Didnt start
