Pickled Eggs..wrong???!!
Just came back from boot fair on Sunday - THREE JARS of the lovely beauties for £1.50.
Now all I needs is a VERY large portion of chips, A pint of 6X and a quiet place...
next best thing to riding the Blackbird...
(OK, I think the eggs is a bloke thing).
Thanks everyone for the welcome. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Looks like I missed the outing over the bridge.. :'(
Never mind, I'm sure there will be other events...
Hi and welcome to WB, just looking at your bike list FS1E brings back old memories from when I was a lad.
Hope to see you around

Ah, the FS1E....
Now that was a beastie.... NOU 35L - 1973 vintage - a tasty little number in snot yellow... it had most of the cooling fins broken off, with the result that when I bought it, the only way to stop the exhaust pipe from expanding and falling off was to pee on the engine every 3 miles.... I paid £80 for the privilege
Once sorted it was good for...oooh.... 44mph.
leather biker jacket, jeans, boots and cut off denim waistcoat with badges... it all comes back..
Best trick was to wedge a screwdriver in the throttle and then climb up onto the tank at max speed on a straight road. Although I did once ride it in my pyjamas and slippers across the new forest from Brockenhurst to Lymington at 1 am.... It seemed to make sense at the time.
I saw one the other day (George Whites) and I was amazed at how small it was (just like penny chews, Fizzies get smaller as you get older it seems).
My introduction to biking..... how I survived I'll never know...
:-?
