Re: What bike would you get?
I should have a serious think about what you're going to use it for.
If you've got a zzr then you're going to be in for a hell of a shock on an rsv4! 60 mile tank range, tiny dimensions and servicing will skin you alive.
Think about what you want and get back to us, otherwise everyone is just writing down names of bikes.
Re: What bike would you get?
Getting a brand new car or bike aint all its cracked up to be (well I didnt think it was).
Me I'd spend a big chunk on an experience not all on a bike.
Hope you really enjoy it however you use it :)

Re: What bike would you get?
I was going to suggest a V-max but that's outside your budget
VMAX £ 21,499.00 :o
Re: What bike would you get?
Triumph Rocket 111 roadster with enough cash left over to Turbo charge it or Moto Guzzi California 1400, but still quite happy with the Yamaha MT-01. I've had it six years and still an awsome bit of kit.

Yes, that is a concern, I've got used to the practicalities of the ZZR, it was a stop gap bike when I sold my 955i, I have owned mainly sports bikes in the past R6, R1, fireblade, SP1, but you're right the small tank range would annoy me eventually. I think in the main I would like to go distances in comfort, but have a bike with character!!

Re: What bike would you get?
Not sure how I managed that, but got the reply stuck in the quotes box :P
Re: What bike would you get?
Character is what Brit, Americans and Italians call it.
The Japanese call it unreliable.
You want to do big distances in comfort?
You already know the answer, don't you? and it doesn't cost 18k
Re: What bike would you get?
Yamaha tenere 1200 for the long haul ana a ktm 300 for green landing.
Re: What bike would you get?
Booked ZZR1400 test ride in Bristol on Sat, then Harley's Wed, then will try the explorer, no rush, hopefully one of these will grab my attention.
Character isn't always unreliable, I enjoyed the Triumph America it was under powered, but it was the older 790cc version but never let me down!!
