Can you give me the post #'s of the two posts of yours you're referring to?
BTW - there's a difference between being sceptical about another persons ideas/opinions and openly suggesting someone's not very bright :P

Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
It seems to me that if someone tries to share a different perspective on a subject they are to be ridiculed.
That sounds like real intelligence at work ;D

OK, so post number 28 is not your own comment on this subject, its a quote from a previous thread made on a different subject by someone else. If you had made that clear at the time, it would have put your post #32 into context.
I agree though that this has got pointless. I started the thread as an example of how the worlds weather interacts with itself and how you can have colder weather in one part of the world as a result of climate change, wheres the worlds global average temperatures are increasing - along with the reduction in the ice caps. People tend to always quote global warming as it can't be happening because there happens to be a temperature drop in one part of the world.

...reminds me of someone else who used to carpet-bomb the forum pages with post after post of unsubstantiated bollocks, argue the toss with anyone who refuted his point, and then start to fling insults when he realised he'd backed himself into a corner ::)

Seriously, according to the Met Office (whom I believe to be a completely trustworthy lot), the current cold spell is being caused by the warming of the southern hemisphere's strataspheric conditions. This has also resulted in the hottest day ever in Australia today - 46 degrees centigrade.
I think its a good example of how the worlds varying temperatures interact with each other to give a colder location in one part of the world caused by a warmer one elsewhere in the world. Interesting, no?
Getting back on track with this interesting post. The "experts" have been forecasting global warming for years. However, if it continues then we shall be in for a temperate climate, wet, wet, wet.
Interestingly though we were hit by a Gamma ray burst in the 8th century.

Are you suggesting that someone in this thread backed themselves into a corner??

Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
Swanny,
I think it is unfortunate if my post on GW doubters upset you as that was certainly not my intention. Perhaps I misread the mood of the thread – it was only meant to be light-hearted banter.
Although I am very thick skinned and enjoy debating on a whole range of topics on numerous forums/platforms, I for one would never look upon my fellow debaters/contributors as enemies, and very much hope that they would feel the same way towards me.
IMHO, anyone who leaves a debate/discussion harbouring a grudge should refrain from engaging in debates/discussions at the outset.
:) 8-) :) 8-)

Now all that friction could be contributing to GW - apparently co2 emissions are highest in the north east - forget I said that. Lol :P :D ;D

Isn't that denying someone the right to put forward an opinion??
In other words unless you agree with what we say STFU ;D
So much for freedom of speech

I'm a bit lost.
I would always fully support everyone's right to freedom of speech and their right to express their views/opinions. I would also fully support every WB members’ right to challenge my views/opinions on this forum.

1) The climate change is real, and there is more to it than CO2 and 'global warming' - it is all extremes.
2) The entire solar system appears to be changing simultaneously.
3) The magnetic changes on earth began hundreds of years ago, and need to be tracked more effectively.
4) Weather modification appears to be implemented, and IMHO it is a zero-sum game.
Fact vs Opinion: The 'Weather Modification' segment contains many statements of my personal opinion on the negative aspects of the various applications. I have nothing but my humble opinion on those matters; humans survived this event before, and we can do it again now.
HAARP comments are meant to help focus our efforts to properly identify these various machines of modification. While auroral modulation has it's benefits, my negative comments about weather modification applies to HAARP as well.

Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
Well the heating in the office is set the same as it was yesterday but today every one has either a jumper or a coat on so I wish global warming could call in to Warminster to "warm" us up.

I would in general agree with 1), 2) and 3) except to add that these changes have been happening since the dawn of time and is part of a natural process as the earth and the solar system simply get older.
Point 4) and the rest of it - I haven't got a clue what they're on about ;D

Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
I don't want to get involved but....
Gentlemen please - chill out!
-
Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
I'm chilled, in fact it's cold in here so I'm off to work to warm up :)
-
Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
And there was me thinking the cold weather was just a by product of it being January, and mid winter
I have been led to believe that the biggest governing factor over our weather is sunspots (that's me reading something, but loosing interest half way through) also weather changes when the earth moves on it's axis, as it does. Neither of which ever get much of a mention.

The video above talks about both of those things :)

He also links activity on the sun to earthquakes on Earth

This chap says it because of geo-engineering

Scientific Research explaining why they are spraying the sky's around the world. Learn and more importantly do something about the Chem trails being sprayed. Learn the details here in this short film. UN Environment Programme: 200 Species Extinct Every Day, Unlike Anything Since Dinosaurs Disappeared 65 Million Years Ago. According to the UN Environment Programme, the Earth is in the midst of a mass extinction of life. Scientists estimate that 150-200 species of plant, insect, bird and mammal become extinct every 24 hours. This is nearly 1,000 times the "natural" or "background" rate and, say many biologists, is greater than anything the world has experienced since the vanishing of the dinosaurs nearly 65m years ago.

I believe the government has rebranded 'global warming' to 'climate change'. Anything to make more money.

They didn't have much choice when a lot of people were saying "global warming? but it's getting colder". Climate Change might be more understandable to our general public

I've been looking at this for years now and I still don't know what to think.
Maybe the video is correct and it's the methane releases and the stupid arsehole governments trying to fix what they've fcuked up by trying to play god that are causing the changes. If he is right we don't have long left so might as well enjoy what we've got.
IMO Climate change is not as worrying as Fukushima still in meltdown after 2 years. Chernobyl was covered in concrete after 7 days. But the concrete covering Chernobyl is now in a bad way.
Oh well I never wanted to die in an old peoples home anyway ;D

Snowy did you watch all of the video?? If you did what did you think?

Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
We can expect another load in about 3 weeks after the USA got dumped on the whole of the East coast from Boston to New York got about 2ft of snow a distance of approximatley 200 miles.

No I didn't - that's why I wanted to know what your opinion was. I don't have the time or inclination to view a long video clip to try and work out for myself what point the person posting it is trying to make. Your post above has more information on it i.e you've been following it for years and still don't know what to think of it all. If you had put something like that on your post I might have been more inclined to look at it. No worries either way as you've answered my question :)

Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
It's only 28 mins long, about the same time as an episode of East Enders/Coronation St?? And much more informative especially to someone who's interested in what's behind climate change.

Don't watch any soaps myself.....
There's some excellent programmes on the BBC such as Horizon, Planet Earth and many others that I trust much more than any unsolicited internet site. Pay up for a TV license and there's a whole new world for you to enjoy ;)
Edit: I should add that with my incredibly slow internet speeds it would take several hours to down load a 30 minute clip :D The TV I can watch without it stopping and starting every 3 seconds.

Re: So what's causing this current cold spell?
No thanks I have all that and more on my PC :)
Ok then as you're interested in the planet what do you think about what's happening at Fukushima??
