Thinking of you ;) Keep cheerful and all the very best.....Rod
Just tidying this thread up to leave just comments, ready to print and take to BB this afternoon.
Popped in this afternoon to see BB. Considering what happened, she is suprisingly perky, and well on the mend. Treatment is obviously continuing and many more weeks will be needed for recovery and test results. Hope to visit again later in the week. :)
good to hear she is on the mend
did you take her a copy of classic bikes?
went in this afternoon as well and gave her a big card and bunch offlowers on behalf of all of us, with the wiltshire bikers picture inside the card and the thread printed off :)
she's determind to go to the isle of man as planned in 4-5 weeks, typical bonnie!
I did actually think of that, but never got the chance to pick one up before. :-[Quote:

Went to see her yesterday - is very black and blue but in good spirits. They might let her home at weekend if she can manage well enough - both arms bandaged and/or plastered from elbow down. Optic nerve is damaged in her right eye so can't see anything yet, but hopefully all sight will be returning shortly. Still doesn't remember anything after seeing a deer! Was airlifted to hospital, woke up and as she was 2 miles from home when it happened couldn't understand why she was in Swindon hospital and not Bath! (think it was Swindon because of suspected spinal injuries).Quote:

Thanks for the update :)
Went to see BB's bike today and here is the damage;
Front forks bent (see pic)
R/H hand controls and handle bar damaged.
Headlamp and R/H indicator smashed.
Right hand crankcase damaged but not holed.
Right hand exhaust silencer scraped.
Slight scrape to the right side of the tank.
Front mudguard bent.
I can't see if the frame is bent but apart from the forks its really just cosmetic......
Will being contacting her insurance company tommorrow to get the ball rolling........
GB.
doesn't sound as bad as it could be then, only problem is triumph don't give their parts away very cheaply
Well i'm hoping they write it off and then she can get something decent! :o :o :o ;) :-* This kiss is for Bonnie BTW Dabz......Don't get any funny ideas...... :o ;)
damn I thought my luck was in then :(
yeh hopefully a write off, but then she'd need a name change. any idea what she'd have her eye on instead?
Well i'm trying to get her to have a go on mine...... :o :o :D :)
Oi, we're talking bikes here and nothing else! :o :o ;)Quote:

Russ
that's a big move from a bonneville to a gixer thou :P I know she does have a thing for sportsbikes though :D I'm not sure the name BlueAndWhiteGixer has the same ring to it as BlackBonnie though
Just an idea...
If BB is out in time, wondered if she might like to go to Jess & Pete's BBQ (I presume thats ok with you both!) so she can see some familiar faces & cheer her up! Or failing that if shes still in the hospital a ride down to visit her depending on numbers etc!
Id personally like to visit her but I dont have any details, cant ring the Swindon hospital and ask which ward is Blackbonnie on! They would think Im stranger than I really am!!
Thoughts please......
she said this morning that they want to keep her in for another week!
I talked to BB this morning and to be honest amante she has had a stream of visitors and needs time to rest and heal so she can go home, so it would be good if you could wait a wee while to see her. Re going to the BBQ i'm sure she will be there in spirit.Quote:

Fair enough! It was just an idea. Just miss the old bird I spose! :-/ :'(
If your going over soon just send her my love!
>:(I think its "mentalist" that they wont let people in straight jackets in to visit! So much for "care in the community!" ;D
Spoke to BB last night, getting better with each day that passes, sounds more like her old self, I think just a tx now and then is nice, just lets her know she not forgotten.
Got tx from BB today, looks like she's going home Wednesday, spos its to short notice to arrange an escort???
Ps don't know what time just that its in the afternoon.
That's good news. She was looking well when we popped up yesterday. Still many bruises and swelling but as you say, getting better each day. :)
she's hoping to hear later today about possibly going home today, and is looking forward to starting in her new position as staff on here...oh yeh, spose I'd better announce that!
lol Dabz:P
Here's hoping they say yes:)
We've got our BB back boys, and girls, just remember to look smart and stand to attention when posting to our BB cost she is STAFF now, :) spos we'll all have to behave now :-[
WELCOME HOME MATE, and don't forget friends are to help you when you need it, so if you need ANYTHING just ask :-*
(backs off bowing with hat removed)
welcome back bb ;)
Welcome home BB!!
:)
Welcome back BB. Missed you!! :-*
Hi everyone, just like to say a big thankyou for all the help & support etc over the last couple of weeks, it really is much appreciated. I have been overwhelmed with all your comments & txts etc.
I shall be out of action riding for a while with my plastered arms, broken collerbone, etc. etc but I'll be out as much as I can to meets to keep in touch. As you can see I can still type, albeit very slowly so don't expect rapid response!
I am also pleased to be asked to be a moderator and I hope I can do a good job for you all.
All I have to do now is get fit to go to the Manx GP in a few weeks time. I already have offers of pillion seats so that is good as the Dr didn't look too impressed when I suggested a twist & go!
Regards BB
Nice to have you back BB :)
Let me know if you need anything whilst you enjoying your R&R :)
