Striple lights are pretty good for standard to be honest, on night rides back from the H&C Star would ride behind me with her lights on full beam so we could see where we were going - not a problem for me due to the limited vision in ZX mirrors and very helpful due to the abysmal headlights on my bike... You have nothing to worry about Shorty, I'd swap lights with you any time :)
