Hello and welcome to WB [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Hello and welcome. I can highly recommend Bike Safe.
Hello DaytonaDog
Welcome mate and i would say just get out there and ride whether its in a group or not.
Group rides can be good in that you will always find varied abilities within the group and you can pick out things you like in other peoples rides and adapt your own. Also its good to have a brew and a chat about what you thought and what other people thought of the ride.
Welcome back to bikes. Doing Bikesafe good idea [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Hello & welcome. I did the same as you, got back into biking after 15 years+. Now been riding for about 6 years and love every minute of it.
I bought a Triumph 1200 Trophy to get back into it before trying others (The Trophy was pretty basic 'old school', not too different from the bikes I rode in the 80's)
I did the bikesafe course in Devizes and it is well worth doing.
Lots of sage advice there Dog

Thanks for the welcome and for the advice. Had a good ride out yesterday on me beast which is a Triumph Daytona 955i (02) 100 miles of finest Dorset countryside including a lovely stretch of road from West Bay to Weymouth looking out over Chiesel Beach (Shame there's a speed limit on it though). I have taken some photos of the bike when we stopped to look out over Chiesel and the sea. Sadly I'm a technophobe and can't seem to get them to attach to the post. I also can't seem to load up a pic of the bike as my avatar so any advice greatly received. Doing the Afhan Heroes thing on Sunday. Should be a good day. Whose going???
