GIVI Luggage and GSR 650 S

Morning all!

I have just bought and received a full set of GIVI luggage hardware (PLX 538) that was recommended as fitting a GSR 650 S ABS 06 plate. But all the fitting instructions are for a GSR 600! :-?

Has anyone had any experience of fitting GIVI luggage to a GSR 650 S? Fingers crossed I haven't been sent the wrong kit, and will find out tomorrow night when I get it home! (need the car, it's a bulky old box!)

GSR ? or do you mean GSF as in Bandit ?

Looks as though you have got the wrong kit for a Bandit :(

Damnit! The kit was from Bykebitz, I specified the make of my bike and they sent me this one. Grrr.

Even better... Givi don't even do pannier mounts for my bike. I'd better email that company you sent me the link to, to let them know it only fits non ABS models (as per the Givi site, which I really should have checked better myself the first time round!). Bykebitz are pretty cool about it though, sending me out the correct top box kit tomorrow, and paying for the collection of the wrong bits.

According to the Givi UK website they do the topbox rack and side rails

I don't think the fact it has/hasn't got ABS matters ?

Simon, on that link it specifically says that the PL 534 panniers will not fit on the ABS model. I have emailed Givi direct though, just in case they have made a mistake on their info page. Really want those panniers!!!

Sorry mate I can honestly say that I didn't notice that :o

I can't see why they wouldn't fit one with ABS though as thats all part of the wheel, unless there are extra cables etc running somewhere that would interfere with the frame work mounts etc :(
