insurance and glass replacement

hi guys

anyone clued up on insurance and windscreen replacement.

ok the situation is -

my van failed its MOT (new windscreen needed)

i have cancelled my insurance after the renewal (so currently have no insurance)

the van is currently sorn and obviously has no MOT

my plan was to take out new insurance and then claim on the windscreen cover.

BUT

will the insurance company refuse to do the work as the van has no MOT or TAX?

any idea's guys?
