I've the other half of the puzzle somewhere but can't find it :rolleyes:
It's a brake caliper piston.
The abrasive material fell off of both brake pads !
So, it was metal on metal on metal.
And after way too much stamping on the pedal :rolleyes:, aluminium being the softest, gave in first :D
