Iv not yet (keep meaning to but life keeps getting in the way). The police rider that does it in Devizes is a member on here, user name "budgie1550" so say hello and introduce yourself as a member.

Wife did it in kingswood a couple of weeks ago. She had a great day and said she learned a lot although I quizzed her on a few basic things and she said they weren't covered.
I think they spend more time now on the observed ride than in the classroom these days.
Any advanced training is worthwhile.

And don't forget to notify your insurance once you get your bike safe certificate as it lowers your insurance. iv just got two quotes for my triumph with the only difference being one had a bikesafe certificate and the other didn't and the price went down from £78 per year to £66 fully comp. not a huge drop in pounds but percentage wise it's well worth doing.

Thank you, just want to get home safe after work, so any pointers they can give me would be great

Wait till next year, they may reduce your premium mid term but they may at the same charge whatever fee they state for changes/alterations.

The best piece of advice I got from it was to process what you're seeing like a jigsaw puzzle, rather than a picture, only selecting the relevant pieces to enable you to proceed safely.
Also make sure your bike is 100% road legal.
Some idiot turned up on a GSXR with a race pipe and tiny plate. The police riders were not impressed and told him to change them when I got home... I mean when he got home.

Yes, I had a mate who came in 2009 and his rear tyre was down to the markers so they wouldn't let him participate, nor actually ride his bike home, he had to get it recovered (not known as Calamity Jon for nothing...). I did it with a small plate, Akrapovic silencer and dark visor and they weren't the least bit concerned.
