Bumbling along a suburban road this morning on a rh bend.

Car coming tother way cut off right down a dead-end lane doing about 50. Missed me by inches. REALLY INCHES.

20 mins later...approaching this junction from the left, intending to turn right.

Cars in my direction queuing to turn left. Lady coming from the north turnd right into the slip road and without stopping, happily turned right again across my path. Back wheel lifted a little as I emergency-braked and JUST stopped in time.

I dunno who it was you upset Larry but it would seem there reach is far and wide. Take it easy.

Hey Burbs,

Maybe a different coloured bike would help ?

;)

Take it easy.

Luckily, I was taking it easy. I reckon that at standard Yellow Peril rate both would have been collisions.

On second thoughts, the second one would not have occured as I was probably an ex-Larry from the first one.

Ahh that's the problem, your riding to slow, if you had been riding faster for your entire journey then the near misses wouldn't have occurred as you would have been further along the road and past the junctions when the cars cut across. By riding slower than your normal rate your messing with "the plan" ;)

Standard for bike riding now... riding along A4 in dark. Discovery pulled up and waited for me as turning across me. Strange as they waited until I arrived and turned hard into the side of me! Then emergency stopping side on as I saw it’s grill next to me for an instant. I thought now there even taking aim at riders!!

Yes but I have no idea how. They stayed in the same spot in the road (across my lane) for a good while. I think it scared the **** out of them too. It was weird as there wasn’t any traffic about. Assumed they had other things on their mind. I saw there bumper arrive next to my right knee in an instant. Have no idea how it didn’t knock my rear pannier off the H2 SX.

One lucky chap. Let's hope it did scare them and they look and see next time!
