Refilled the yellow peril with about 2 L of oil that had been lost via the crank case cover being holed.

Fired up first turn. Ticks over and revs perfectly, but............Constant blue smoke being produced.

Any ideas from the geeks and nerd brigade please.

It's converted itself to two stroke?

Have you checked the breather pipes and airbox aren't full of oil from being on its side?

Ah ! No ! Cheers

Didn't know that was possible. Tank off tomorrow then.

worth a look, I had a bike a few years ago that ended on its side with the engine running and it smoked afterwards, that was the problem and cleaning them the cure.

The flip side of this is on carb bikes petrol can run into the motor and mix with oil while horizontal so best to do a full change once happy it's ok

Girly is EFI.

Small amounts of oil in and around airbox. Have cleaned. Also fitted new filter while I was in there.

Still blue rinse, but have only done two short runs. Mustn't upset the prols.

Seems to have burned it all off now after several more short bursts.

Oil level constant as well.
