sad news yesterday, many of you will probably not know the name but Mark Hucklebridge from Chippenham and Marshfield was an all round mx rider, be it on dirt, sand or man made tracks like supercross.
we first met Mark while marshalling MR thumpercross meetings and British championships, racing for MJChurch Kawasaki, the unknown VOR, Honda and many more.. latterly he went on his own when times at the team became hard and travelling to GP's around the world got too expensive.
Mark was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, inoperable, in 2010. this more or less put an end to his racing career, although he did make a couple of appearances when he felt able.
MX was his life and he then started coaching and set up his own track for the enjoyment of others. as a goal in what would be his short life left he did a lot of charity work raising over £100,000 for the Forever Friends appeal at the RUH Bath. many world stars came out to help raise money the likes of Dave Thorpe and Jim Whitham and Carl Fogarty.

Mark leaves a wife Emma and young son
will finish wittering on now, Cheers Mark enjoyed your company
