Just had my renewal through and nearly fell off my chair.
Gone up £100 from last year.
Had a quick online search and Carole Nash offer the same cover for £150 less.
But here's the real kicker: I have to call them if I want to cancel and guess what. All their operators are currently busy.
Just been on hold for 15 minutes to no avail.
Any ideas?

On the plus side, my second year with Bennetts, and my premium renewal was £25 less, every cloud...

My renewal with bennetts was the same but I called and they knocked £90 off

Do a comparison site quote first, if it comes up cheaper, ring them. They (all insurers now) can see the comparison site quotes, and will try and match it.

I emailed them, said get stuffed and signed with Carole Nash. They even got it down by £20 too!

a word of caution here..I insured my bike 2 years ago with Bennetts..paid with my debit card online...within 3 days, my card was hit with 3 fraudulent withdrawals, all for online grocery shopping from Tescos in Bolton..which thankfully my bank re-imbursed me.
As it was the only time I used my Debit card for online use, I phoned Bennetts, and spoke to their consumer dept, explaining the problem, and they would take the complaint very seriously and undertake a full security check and get back to me.
2 years on... nothing.
