Not sure if I should be doing this now as its all a bit raw, the biker down was my son Elliot Simpson. We both had bikes and enjoyed many a ride out together, the difference being he had to use his for commuting. He worked for Hills and he was minutes form leaving work and for some reason he is now dead, he left work at 6am and the ambulance arrived at 06:08am and the investigations are raising more questions than answers at the moment!
I have returned to biking after a long break, I've now been back on the road for 4 years, I am half way through my advanced testing and plan to volunteer for the blood bikes, I am now torn, dazed and confused about continuing my biking plans? Its probably too early to be making decisions, but I need support!
It has taken me over an hour to write these few lines, between the tears, heartache and sorrow! If you have kids, of any age give them a hug from me and more importantly from YOU!
We are also looking to contact the Army medic to tried to revive Elliot, if anybody knows him please as him to get in touch with the police.
Alan

Alan, as a dad too, I can't imagine how you must feel or your family for that matter at this time. I think I would echo everybody on here to offer our heart felt condolences at this most difficult time to you all. I am sure that any support you need from fellow bikers and dads you will get. Alan, Celtic Crew MCC sends our condolences to you and your family at what has to be the worst time of your life.
My son was smidsy'd by a car 12 years ago, luckily he survived after 12 hours of operations. I remember my feeling of utter helplessness at the time.

Love and Respect, Shep, Calne.

Hi everybody, thank you for your kind words of wisdom & support, it has helped me to know so many fellow bikers thoughts and considerations are with us at this difficult time.
The passing nod to fellow bikers means so much more than hello, anybody reading the comments and support on this and other threads will understand it is much, much, much more!
Thank you, Alan

P.S. I am considering a bike funeral escort from Chippenham to Seamington, I have no dates as yet but when I do, I may be looking for your support again.

Alan, as a mum of 2 sons who both ride peds/motorbikes, I feel sick at the thought of what you're going through. I'm so, so sorry and I wish I had some words that could help.
Sending love and light - I'm sure if you decide a biker escort is what you want, you'll get it here.
