Does anybody know of any that aren't... sort of... dodgy?

Hope you lot don't think I'm a knob for asking... I'm really chuffed to be part of this forum, and really appreciate the welcome and messages iv had! I I will definitely be an active member.

But I am also wanting to join a patch club but can't find any...

Dont worry about people thinking you are or coming across as a knob, most of us are anyway so the more the merrier.

Not sure about bath but I know there is a patch club in Amesbury, one in Chepstow (Harley, I think) and you also have the Hells Angels in Trowbridge (one of our members is a member of the HA). Maybe do a search on google for mototrcycle clubs in and around Bath.

Do you mean more an MCC than an MC? Only one I know of is Sarum bikers but that's a bit far for you in Bath. Google MCC along with Wiltshire/bath/etc I'm sure something will turn up.

If you mean an MC then there is one in Swindon, one in Andover and I think there may be one somewhere around Pewsey. I doubt they hand out online membership packs though so you probably want to find a public event of theirs or something and go introduce yourself.

Cheer bud, probably MCC I'm looking for. That's the trouble is alot of these clubs don't advertise online... I know it's invite only. But just wanted to try and get a couple of names so I can introduce myself.

Cheers bud, don't suppose you know the name of the club do you? That's what I'm having trouble finding is the actual names of any of these clubs!

MCC is to my understanding more of a social riding thing without any massive hurdles to membership.

I think in ref to coneheads post

Amesbury - Sarum Bikers (MCC), I think they have a facebook page

Trowbridge I think he actually means Swindon.

Chepstow is that HOG?

there is a local club to Melksham area but you would need to see a member to be introduced I expect. local bike MOT tester.
alternatively Nomads posts on here,

normally introductions used to be the way, for specialist clubs whereas there are many clubs VMCC, and others , marque and specific bike clubs that take any.

There are pleanty of clubs about - to name a few - Waggoneers, Peasedown St John; Shamen, NE of Radstock, Cripple Club, Bath; Celtic Crew, Calne; Moonrakers in Devizes; MattBlackRat.com (an online club) but Warminster ish; Vulgaris (other side of the M4), Dying Breed, Westbury; there's also MC clubs in Trowbridge (for Wiltshire), Sodbury & N Somerset and Bristol/Swindon (81). It all depends on what you're looking for and what commitment you can give. Closest to you is the Waggon & Horses in Peasedoen St. John for MCC.
